School-Age Art Class: Art Around the World/Ghana--Kente Weavings

Join us for these guided art workshops for elementary-school kids, ages 6-12,  presented by art teacher Connie Brewster. Each will focus on learning special techniques for creating your own art that you can take home from the program. 
 

Plan to wear "paint clothes" -- clothes you don't mind getting a little messy. All programs will be upstairs in the Children's Auditorium. Workshops are 90 minutes long.

Children will look at examples of beautiful Kente Cloth to create a paper version, weaving colorful patterned paper strips into art.

Space is limited, and programs require advance registration. If you register and find you cannot attend, please cancel your registration, so the next person on the waiting list will be notified us know as soon as possible.
